The Job description of Health/Nutrition/Hygiene Promoter are:
- Responsible for detailed social mapping of the catchment areas in the catchment areas of the target health facilities.
- Find out exact population of the catchment area, calculate targets and share them with team leaders.
- Develop a detailed and realistic work plan for field interventions.
- Facilitate movement of female social mobilizers in target area and provide them all possible support.
- Support the female Health/Nutrition/Hygiene Promoter by door chalking in target area during HH registration.
- Actively develop, sensitize and mobilize community volunteers and health committee groups.
- Actively arrange and conduct social mobilization sessions, corner meetings and broad-based community meetings and maintain records of these activities.
- To actively arrange, attend and conduct Jirga Meetings with key stakeholders and maintain records of these activities.
- Actively plan, arrange, record and report various budgeted and non-budgeted meetings with key stakeholders as directed by concerned project management in line with Project TORs.
- Actively suggest, arrange, record and report capacity building sessions for key stakeholders as asked by concerned project management in line with Project TORs.
- Address and solve problems (if any) faced by female Health/Nutrition/Hygiene Promoter and outreach workers in community by actively involving male community activists/members.
- Disseminate among target community information regarding availability of various health services in the relevant health facility of the target area.
- Develop close coordination and liaison with health facility staff (Incharge, LHV, EPI and National Program staff) for ensuring maximum results and coverage and developing linkages.
- Report immediately any untoward incidence to Team Leader/ Provincial manager.
- Maintain record of activities and report regularly to Team Leader/Provincial manager.
- To perform any other relevant duty assigned by the Provincial Coordinator/Team Leader.
