Helper (Male), Off Campus Hostels

The Aga Khan University, a renowned private international institution committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service, is seeking a Helper to support the operations of its Off-Campus Hostels. The Helper position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning and safety of the Off-Campus Hostel facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and overall upkeep of the Off-Campus Hostel premises to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Keep an accurate and updated record of all residents (hostellites) living in the Off-Campus Hostel.
- Monitor entry points vigilantly to prevent unauthorized access to the hostel.
- Assist students with administrative matters and promptly escalate issues beyond the scope of the role to the Off-Campus Supervisor or Manager.
- Report any damage to property, furniture, or accessories immediately to the Off-Campus Supervisor.
- Document pick-up and drop-off timings for hostel transport and notify the Off-Campus Supervisor of any delays.
- Ensure that the generator is operated exclusively by authorized personnel, maintain proper usage records, and follow safety protocols during operation.
- Monitor fuel levels for the generator, keep accurate records of fuel consumption, and ensure an adequate petrol supply at all times.
- Record the duty reporting times of Security Guards and report any absences without delay to the Off-Campus Supervisor.
- Conduct daily inspections of fire safety equipment to confirm it is functional and accessible in case of emergencies.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum educational qualification of Matriculation.
- Previous experience working as a helper in a household or office environment.
- Basic knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Ability to understand and follow simple instructions in Urdu related to job responsibilities.
