Hi Tech Plastics Engineering is seeking a dedicated Procurement Officer to join our dynamic team in Lahore. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing industrial machinery and related services, ensuring that all acquisitions meet quality standards, are cost-effective, and are delivered on time. Your work helps maintain smooth production processes by building and maintaining strong supplier relationships and managing procurement activities in line with company policies.
As a key contributor in our expanding industrial machinery organization, you will negotiate contracts, prepare purchase orders, and analyze market trends to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities. This role demands attention to detail, strong negotiation capabilities, and the ability to perform well under pressure while managing multiple priorities. The position does not involve managing a team but requires collaboration with various internal departments to fulfill procurement needs efficiently and uphold legal and ethical procurement standards.
Responsibilities
- Source and procure quality materials and services at competitive prices to support production and operations.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery time, and service compliance.
- Negotiate supplier contracts and terms to secure favorable conditions for the company.
- Prepare and process purchase orders following company policies, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Maintain detailed records of purchases, pricing, delivery schedules, and supplier interactions.
- Monitor market trends to identify potential new suppliers and explore opportunities for cost reduction.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement requirements and coordinate supply chain activities.
- Ensure all procurement practices comply with company guidelines, legal standards, and ethical considerations.
- Manage relationships with established suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply issues.
- Assist in reporting and analysis of procurement performance and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with finance and inventory teams to align procurement activities with budgeting and stock management.
