Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is seeking a skilled Web Applications Developer with at least 3 years of experience to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining web applications that meet the evolving needs of the organization. This role requires proficiency in both frontend and backend development technologies, including JavaScript, React, PHP, and Laravel, to create seamless, user-friendly, and responsive web experiences. The position is based in Peshawar and follows a standard 9am to 5pm, 5-day workweek schedule.
The chosen professional will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, focusing on API integration and RESTful services to ensure efficient data exchange and functionality across platforms. Working independently without direct team management, the developer will collaborate closely with project stakeholders and other departments to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with organizational goals and compliance standards. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and expertise in responsive web design principles are essential to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using frontend and backend technologies such as JavaScript, React, PHP, and Laravel.
- Implement responsive web design techniques to ensure applications function flawlessly across various devices and screen sizes.
- Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services to enhance application functionality and data communication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance for speed and scalability.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following industry best practices.
- Conduct regular code reviews and unit testing to maintain code quality and reliability.
- Keep up to date with emerging web technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Ensure the security and compliance of web applications as per organizational and regulatory standards.
- Manage deployment and monitoring of web applications in relevant environments.
- Provide technical support and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Participate in meetings and provide progress updates on development tasks.
- Maintain a strong focus on user experience, accessibility, and usability within all web solutions.
