HIPAA & Privacy Analyst

We are seeking a dedicated HIPAA & Privacy Analyst to join our team in Lahore on a full-time, on-site basis. This role is pivotal in supporting and monitoring privacy and data protection practices within healthcare BPO operations. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant privacy regulations by reviewing processes and documentation, identifying potential privacy risks, and recommending corrective measures. Collaboration with internal teams to develop and update privacy policies, conduct privacy impact assessments, and assist with staff training on data protection and confidentiality are essential components of this position. The role also involves conducting audits, preparing compliance reports, responding to privacy-related inquiries, and supporting incident investigations to foster a culture of privacy and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and monitor privacy and data protection practices to ensure adherence to HIPAA and applicable regulations.
- Identify privacy risks and recommend corrective actions to mitigate potential issues.
- Develop, maintain, and update privacy policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to conduct privacy impact assessments and support compliance initiatives.
- Assist in training staff on data protection, confidentiality, and privacy best practices.
- Conduct regular audits and prepare detailed compliance reports.
- Respond to privacy-related queries and support investigations related to data incidents.
- Promote a culture of privacy awareness and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Healthcare Administration, Information Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HIPAA compliance within the US medical billing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of HIPAA regulations, including the Privacy Rule, Security Rule, and Breach Notification Rule.
- Familiarity with healthcare industry standards for safeguarding Protected Health Information (PHI), including electronic PHI (ePHI).
- Strong understanding of privacy regulations and the ability to ensure effective privacy compliance in healthcare or BPO environments.
- Proven experience in HIPAA compliance, data protection, and healthcare operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and integrity when handling sensitive information.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, on-site setting.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Certifications such as CHPS (Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security) or CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional) are highly desirable.
- Competitive salary range of PKR 250,000 – 300,000.
- Work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM, based at the Thokar Niaz Baig location in Lahore.
