DevOps Engineer

Are you passionate about the chance to bring your technical experience to a digital organization? The Digital Technology team is looking to add a DevOps Engineer. This position requires someone who is a passionate learner, an independent thinker, works well collaboratively across multiple disciples and is conformable working with a variety of people and technology stacks. This is a chance to get in and make an immediate impact. You will work closely with the product development teams building solutions critical to the digital experience. You will be responsible for application infrastructure and ensuring the design is architecturally clean, facilitating an ability to scale and operate it with ease. You will help tighten feedback loops providing the ability to iterate quicker and improve the velocity of product development.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will:

• Automation: Developing tools & frameworks to enhance our CI (Continuous Integration) & CD (Continuous Delivery) automation using industry standard CI/CD practices
• Operations: Monitor and ensure smooth operation of production and test environments by executing commonsysadmin (system administration) tasks and automating repetitive tasks
• Service Reliability: Occasionally provide support and initial troubleshooting when required by reviewing dashboards and logs to ensure system issues are timely addressed
• Develop & Deploy – implement applications in Azure or other cloud providers including solving problems and analyzing issues. Strong desire to introduce automation to replace manual operations.

About You

You’re a fit for the role DevOps Engineer if you have:

Basic qualifications:

•  Experience in developing interactive web applications
•  2+ years of scripting proficiency (Bash/Python/Perl)
•  Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred
•  Experience with configuration management technologies (e.g. Ansible, Puppet)
•  Experience working with Git
•  Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts
•  Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting and system administration
•  Desire introduce automation to replace manual operations
•  Manage Cloud Infrastructure.
•  Implement & support end-to-end CI/CD pipeline using open-source and proprietary software.
•  Drive automation and monitoring to gain more insight into applications and system health.
•  Experience using and troubleshooting API calls including strong knowledge of Postman.
•  Design solutions with service discovery, networking, monitoring, logging.
•  Craft and develop tools needed for automating workflows.
•  Develop, Improve and Maintain our infrastructure codebase.
•  Craft and Implement critical metrics using various analytics methods and dashboards.
•  Experience creating automation to cover installation and configuration, functional testing, security testing, and performance testing
•  Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders and team members in theproject

Preferred Qualifications:

•  Experience developing, deploying, and operating applications in Azure
•  Experience supporting production applications and environments
•  Monitoring and logging experience using tools such as AppDynamics/DynaTrace, DataDog, Sumologic/Splunk
•  Ability to administer relational and NoSQL databases
•  Docker and clustering services such as Kubernetes
•  Understanding of networking: CDNs, Load Balancers, DNS Configuration, TLS certificate management and PKI

Note: This is an on-site job and the timings of the shift are from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM Monday to Friday
