Housekeeping Supervisor

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the housekeeping operations within our hotel. The successful candidate will ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and room presentation are consistently maintained. This role requires hands-on supervision of housekeeping staff, regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas, and close coordination with other hotel departments to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Candidates should have at least two years of relevant experience in a 2-star or 3-star hotel environment and be comfortable working full-time on rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, and nights.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily housekeeping activities and assign tasks to the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, public spaces, and other hotel facilities to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Ensure guest rooms are cleaned, serviced, and prepared according to established hotel procedures.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, and overall work performance to uphold professional standards.
- Coordinate with the front office regarding room status, guest check-ins, check-outs, and room readiness to facilitate smooth operations.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged items, and repair needs promptly to the relevant departments.
- Oversee housekeeping supplies, linen, cleaning materials, and inventory levels to ensure availability and proper stock management.
- Manage the handling of guest belongings and lost and found items with care and professionalism.
- Train and guide housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and safety practices to maintain quality service.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest housekeeping requests and complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate housekeeping checklists, inspection records, and shift handover reports for operational continuity.
- Ensure compliance with hotel cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace safety standards at all times.

Required Qualifications

- Intermediate education or graduation from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant housekeeping experience in a 2-star or 3-star hotel setting.
- Proven experience in supervising housekeeping staff within a hotel environment.
- Strong knowledge of guest room cleaning, room inspection, linen management, and housekeeping procedures.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with front office and maintenance teams.
- Keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Good communication skills and a guest-service oriented approach.
- Professional attitude, punctuality, and ability to manage and motivate staff.
- Willingness to work full-time on rotating shifts, including morning, evening, and night schedules.
