The HR Manager at AHZ Pakistan will lead and manage the full spectrum of Human Resources functions to support the smooth and effective operation of the organisation. This role demands a highly organised and commercially aware HR professional who can establish strong HR governance, maintain employee discipline, enhance performance and productivity, safeguard company information, and ensure consistent application of HR policies across all offices. Acting as a vital link between employees, departmental managers, and senior management, the HR Manager will contribute significantly to building a high-performance culture and operational excellence within AHZ Pakistan.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment, Workforce Planning & Onboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including workforce planning with departmental managers, job description preparation, candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, and employment offers. Maintain a recruitment pipeline aligned with approved manpower budgets. Oversee onboarding programs, ensuring all employment contracts and documentation are completed promptly. Monitor probation periods and coordinate reviews.
Performance Management & KPI Monitoring: Implement a structured performance management system with clear responsibilities, KPIs, and measurable targets for all employees. Coordinate regular performance reviews and support managers in addressing underperformance through Performance Improvement Plans. Maintain performance documentation to support promotion, salary reviews, incentives, or disciplinary actions.
Employee Relations, Discipline & Grievance Management: Handle employee relations professionally and confidentially, maintaining workplace discipline and compliance with company policies. Manage grievances, investigations into misconduct or attendance issues, disciplinary hearings, and documentation. Support termination, resignation, notice periods, and exit procedures.
Attendance, Leave & Workforce Administration: Monitor attendance, punctuality, and absenteeism, ensuring accurate records for all types of leave. Address repeated lateness or irregularities and coordinate with managers to maintain adequate staffing.
Compensation, Payroll & Benefits Administration: Coordinate monthly payroll data, maintain salary and benefits records, and ensure salary changes have proper approvals. Assist in salary benchmarking and maintain confidentiality regarding employee financial information.
Learning, Training & Employee Development: Identify training needs, develop annual training plans, and coordinate various training programs including induction, compliance, leadership, and professional development. Support succession planning and encourage continuous learning.
HR Policies, Governance & Compliance: Develop, review, and implement HR policies ensuring compliance with Pakistani labor laws. Conduct periodic HR audits, maintain employee records, and promote understanding of company policies and confidentiality obligations.
HR Data, Reporting & Management Information: Maintain an accurate employee database and produce monthly HR reports covering headcount, recruitment, turnover, attendance, performance, training, disciplinary matters, and costs. Provide relevant HR analysis for strategic decision-making.
Confidentiality, Data Protection & Company Security: Ensure strict confidentiality of employee and company information. Control access to HR documents and coordinate clearance procedures during employee exits to protect company assets.
Employee Engagement & Organisational Culture: Foster a professional, respectful, and performance-focused environment. Support engagement and retention initiatives, recognise high performers, improve internal communication, and monitor employee morale.
Operational Management: Support office operations by ensuring professional standards, coordinating with management on operational matters, monitoring compliance with workplace policies, assisting with administration and facilities management, and escalating risks or concerns to senior management. Facilitate organisational restructuring and new office openings as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field. Ideally, 5–8 years of progressive HR experience including HR management responsibility. Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, and organisational development. Familiarity with Pakistani employment laws and labour requirements. Demonstrated understanding of HR governance, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Professional HR certification such as SHRM or CIPD is advantageous. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in HRIS, CRM, Microsoft Excel, and Office applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and engage confidently with senior management. High integrity, confidentiality, and a firm but fair approach to disciplinary matters. Commercial awareness and a solution-driven mindset.
