We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an HR / Document Controller cum Assistant to Engineer. This multifaceted role offers a unique opportunity to work within the MEP construction sector, combining responsibilities in construction documentation management, HR coordination, and engineering support. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth project documentation flow, supporting HR functions, and assisting engineers in daily project activities to help drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

Document Control (Construction):
Maintain and organize all project-related documentation, including drawings, RFIs, submittals, approvals, correspondences, and reports. Ensure proper filing, version control, and easy retrieval of all documents. Keep accurate and up-to-date logs such as drawing logs, material submittal logs, and inspection logs. Coordinate with site engineers to collect and organize daily and weekly site progress reports. Prepare reports, trackers, and summaries using Excel and assist in project documentation submissions.

HR Support:
Maintain employee records and assist with onboarding and offboarding documentation. Coordinate attendance sheets, leave records, and basic HR forms. Support HR-related documentation and facilitate coordination between departments to ensure smooth HR operations.

Assistant to Engineer (MEP):
Support engineers in project coordination by tracking site activities and following up with suppliers and subcontractors. Attend site meetings as required and take notes or minutes. Communicate effectively with site staff to gather necessary information and documentation, ensuring timely updates and accurate reporting.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Document Controller in the construction industry, preferably with an MEP background. Familiarity with construction site workflows and document management processes is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic MS Office applications is required. The candidate must be highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively. A proactive approach and the ability to work independently under pressure are critical. Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are necessary. Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Experience with Microsoft 365 and familiarity with common construction logs such as RFI, submittal, and drawing logs will be advantageous. Previous experience assisting engineers on construction projects is highly valued.
