Our client, a prominent contract packaging company specializing in precision packing of dry foods, chocolate, and confectionery products, operates multiple facilities totaling over 500,000 square feet. Recognized as one of Canada’s largest co-packers in this sector, they expertly manage both manual and automated packaging processes for globally renowned confectionery brands. They are currently seeking an HR Generalist to support their Mississauga, Brampton, and Brantford locations within the West GTA. This full-time, in-office position is based at 450 Export Boulevard and requires monthly travel to all sites. The role offers autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the HR department’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary HR contact for assigned facilities, escalating issues when necessary.
- Respond to internal and external HR inquiries with appropriate guidance and support.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle including job postings, candidate sourcing and screening, interview coordination, contract preparation, background checks, and reference verification.
- Oversee onboarding processes, ensuring completion of new hire documentation, communication with payroll, training compliance, and timely 45- and 90-day performance reviews.
- Coordinate and deliver training sessions while maintaining the training matrix.
- Assist with Health and Safety program initiatives and compliance.
- Support benefits administration and ensure accurate payroll deductions.
- Facilitate internal and external HR-related audits.
- Assist with internal investigations involving HR matters.
- Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on disciplinary actions and documentation.
- Prepare employee-requested letters and maintain accurate personnel records, including payroll, leaves, and turnover data.
- Collaborate with management to track leaves of absence and wage adjustments according to wage grids.
- Support time and attendance management as required.
- Organize meetings and HR-related events.
- Generate and submit reports on HR activities.
- Participate in ad-hoc HR projects as assigned by the Director.
- Utilize Dayforce HRIS to improve operational efficiency and generate management reports.
- Adhere to company health and safety policies and comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- HR certificate or degree.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar HR role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience with Dayforce HRIS is preferred.
- Background in contract packaging or related industries is an asset.
- CHRP designation is an advantage.
