Sahor One Technologies is developing a comprehensive B2B SaaS platform tailored for service businesses across the GCC, integrating customer communication, scheduling, invoicing, payments, compliance, automation, and AI into one seamless system. As the company expands its engineering, product, and business teams, it seeks an experienced HR & People Operations Manager to take full ownership of the employee lifecycle and help build a disciplined, high-performance technology organization. This role goes beyond recruitment and requires managing all aspects of HR, including hiring, onboarding, payroll, performance management, compliance, employee relations, and offboarding in a fast-paced tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment: collaborate with leadership to understand hiring needs, prepare job descriptions, source candidates, conduct screenings and technical interviews, negotiate offers, and manage onboarding.
- Manage technical recruitment for roles such as Senior Laravel Developers, Backend and Frontend Engineers, QA, DevOps, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, AI Engineers, and support staff, ensuring candidates meet technical requirements and fit the company culture.
- Oversee a structured interview and selection process, including competency-based interviews, technical assessments, reference checks, and maintaining detailed evaluation records.
- Own the complete onboarding process, ensuring all employment documentation, policy acknowledgments, equipment allocation, and orientation activities are completed systematically.
- Maintain accurate employee records covering contracts, attendance, leave, performance, disciplinary actions, and asset assignments while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing, including salary calculations, attendance reconciliation, bonuses, deductions, advances, final settlements, and payslip distribution with high accuracy.
- Administer attendance and leave management, monitoring patterns and ensuring fair, documented application of policies.
- Support performance management by establishing clear objectives, review cycles, feedback mechanisms, and handling performance improvement plans and promotions.
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations, addressing workplace concerns, grievances, disciplinary matters, and ensuring professional and neutral handling of sensitive issues.
- Manage employment law compliance, prepare legal documentation such as contracts, warnings, termination papers, and coordinate with external counsel when necessary.
- Develop and maintain practical HR policies covering attendance, leave, remote work, confidentiality, conduct, harassment, and other governance areas relevant to a technology company.
- Oversee employee offboarding, including resignation processing, knowledge transfer, access revocation, final settlements, and exit interviews, especially for employees with access to sensitive systems.
- Handle general HR administration including staff records, asset registers, vendor coordination, employee events, travel, and workplace communications.
- Provide regular HR reporting and management information on headcount, recruitment metrics, payroll summaries, performance status, and turnover to support leadership decision-making.
- Foster a professional culture emphasizing accountability, respect, confidentiality, clear communication, continuous learning, and fair treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience with ownership of the full employee lifecycle in a technology-focused environment.
- Proven expertise in end-to-end recruitment, especially technical hiring for software and SaaS roles.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, attendance management, employee onboarding, relations, performance management, disciplinary processes, and compliance.
- Excellent interviewing skills with the ability to assess technical candidates beyond keywords.
- Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal, with strong documentation and negotiation skills.
- High level of confidentiality, judgment, attention to detail, and ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
- Competent in HR reporting tools and payroll systems, with strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Ability to work directly with founders and senior leadership and manage HR functions independently.
- Willingness to develop technical literacy related to software engineering concepts and terminology to support effective recruitment.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience working in software companies, SaaS businesses, IT startups, fintech, or engineering organizations.
- Background in recruiting senior software engineers and building HR departments from scratch.
- Familiarity with technical interview coordination, salary benchmarking, HRIS implementation, and labour law compliance.
- Experience managing employee disputes, disciplinary investigations, performance improvement plans, and high-growth recruitment.
- Ability to commute or relocate to Islamabad is preferred.
- This is an in-person role with a starting salary from Rs75,000 per month.
Success in this role means hiring top talent efficiently, maintaining accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring timely payroll, supporting managers with performance issues, and establishing HR as a strategic function rather than just recruitment. Candidates primarily experienced in basic administrative tasks or scheduling are unlikely to be a fit. Sahor One seeks a proactive HR leader ready to build a professional, capable organization aligned with its ambitious growth.
