1. Assist with purchasing and managing IT assets. Must have skills to deal with vendors of cisco, router , switches etc.

2. Responsible for product support and warranties, leasing, maintenance, and software contracts, as well as hardware purchases, and license information.

3. Maintain contract data.

4. Create purchase requisitions.

5. Maintain appropriate levels of consumables.

6. Receiving and tagging equipment.

7. Entering asset information into asset tracking software system.

8. Obtain and review competitive bids, quotes, and proposals from vendors and contractors; discuss evaluations and review with requesters and subject matter experts.

9. Provide pricing quotes for items and preparing orders with suppliers.

10. Ensure line items of the purchase order with the packing slip and ensuring the quality of the materials received.

11. Responsible for shipping defective equipment to vendor and arranging replacement.

12. Research products and equipment; prepare product/equipment specifications.

13. Research websites/contact vendors to gather technical information and prices on supplies and equipment

14. Update the inventory listing of property on all new deliveries.

15. Works with IT Helpdesk to maintain a repository of enterprise software licenses/keys

16. Assist helpdesk in updating and maintaining inventories for all IT equipment and supplies including location, asset tag number serial number make and model of equipment.

IT Asset Budget / Documentation:

1. Assists IT Asset Manager with preparing purchases.

2. Assist with drafting, revising and circulating purchase and procurement guidance.

3. Vendor Relationships

4. Establish and maintain vendor relationships per state procurement rules.

5. Negotiate with vendors for the best price over contracted services and purchases.

6. Coordinate with selected vendors on supply and delivery of purchased items.

7. Responsible for all surplus inventories including recording all End of Life (EOL) inventories and disposal.

8. Identify future opportunities for savings

9. Good communication skills are must
