This position plays a strategic role in partnering with the Sundar Plant leadership team to plan and implement HR initiatives that support both immediate and long-term business goals. The incumbent will manage a broad range of HR functions, including Organizational Support Services (Plant Administration), Payroll, and Time Office operations. Additionally, this role is responsible for driving employee engagement among the frontline workforce. Given the sensitive industrial relations environment, close collaboration with the Employee Relations Manager is essential to maintain industrial harmony and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide timely and accurate advice to Supply Chain management on people-related matters, including grievance handling and disciplinary actions, ensuring decisions align with organizational interests. Develop and implement strategies to resolve HR disputes and facilitate management-employee round table discussions. Offer expert guidance on recruitment processes to optimize costs and improve hiring outcomes. Support the redesign and monitoring of controls related to headcount, attendance, leaves, overtime, and access management across the plant and remote agro sites, ensuring adherence to local labor laws and company policies.
Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to identify recruitment needs and design competency-based selection strategies. Execute recruitment plans aligned with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Plan and conduct new employee orientation and onboarding programs to foster engagement with company goals. Utilize Kenexa software for efficient candidate tracking and hiring processes. Partner with the Skills Development Team (SDT) to plan and implement training strategies at all organizational levels.
Manage communication plans to ensure effective two-way engagement with employees. Oversee the Performance Management Process (PMP) for frontline and management personnel, ensuring objectives are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound). Lead and support Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) initiatives within the function. Assist functional heads in developing and executing People Plans, including individual development plans.
Design and implement annual HR initiatives that align with the company’s strategic objectives. Lead HR strategies related to Reward and Recognition programs. Maintain strong coordination with the Administration department to identify gaps and ensure timely support, with a focus on asset management due diligence. Serve as the custodian of organizational health at the Sundar Plant. Foster positive employee relations and develop innovative solutions to enhance engagement. Collaborate with various functions to plan and execute annual events such as away days, AOP sessions, and quarterly meetings. Act as a credible advocate for PepsiCo’s values and promote new ways of working.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field. Preferably 8+ years of experience in a similar HR role within multinational corporations (MNCs), demonstrating broad exposure across HR functions.
