  • Reviewing and implementing Housekeeping standards, detecting and reporting on hazards as they arise and participating in Group Safety meetings.
  • Perform as first aid officer when on site.
  • Monitors, oversees and controls start-up, ongoing and completion of all operational activities for all modalities (P/L, Tank, Truck) and facilities / equipment.
  • Ensures the registration of all relevant operational data, the availability of adequate reporting.
  • Monitor and control all process parameters of plant independently from Control Room.
  • Smooth and Safe start up and shutdown as per SOP of the company.
  • Monitors, oversees and controls start-up, ongoing and completion of all operational activities for all modalities (P/L, Tank, Truck) and facilities / equipment.

  • Smoothly controlling the process of different types of Controllers such as (Cascade Controllers/Split range Controllers) smoothly takes on AUTO/Manual as per process conditions.
  • Take quick & safe corrective actions in case of any equipment failure process upsets as per SOP and under the direction of shift supervisor.
  • Maintain production Capacity and Product specification as per target sheet.
  • Communicate with field operators for plant adjustment equipment switched over and daily routine adjustments.
  • Assist the supervisor in day-to-day activities by providing proper feedback and maintain product specification.
  • In case of emergency situation, take appropriate actions as per emergency procedures and contingency plans.
  • Safely shut down the affected Plant partially or totally. To restore the Plant to normal
  • Operating conditions safely and efficiently once the situation is normalized.
  • Record all the activities that occurred during the shift
  • Check all equipment’s performance abnormalities and alarms such as high temperature/ high pressure/ abnormal sound and makes interventions accordingly in line with operational procedures
  • Maintain and prepare log sheets for assigned units and system covering operating data.
  • Takes units’ samples in accordance with established schedules and makes unit adjustments to equipment as directed & prepare/ adjust product injection/ rate/ inventory for assigned units.
  • Provide work guidance to Field and Truck Operators and coordinate their activities in line with SOP & instructions complying with company’s HSE policy.
  • Prepare Daily Production Report and Consumption Sheet’ which indicates stock of various products.
  • Initiate work request for maintenance in case of equipment/ instrument failure in co-ordination with field operators & shift supervisor. Follow-up work permits, take equipment/ instruments out of service for maintenance and to take back in service after maintenance intervention
  • Handling Plant Emergencies during the shift such as operating problems or equipment failure power failure instrument air /cooling water system/ steam failure take immediate action under the direction of supervisor.
  • Taking proactive actions from Control Room to ensure smooth supply of all the utilities to the internal customers to avoid process upsets.
  • Handling emergencies and taking corrective actions as per emergency procedures to ensure emergency supply of all utilities and safe shut down of plant.
  • Other responsibilities as and when assigned by the management.
