To provide full-time environmental health and safety support to the operations and will ensure that all practices are in compliance with COMPANY requirements. Act as Occupational Hygiene Lead for the site and support site on OH-related matters and implement OH as per EHS Standard 3.12 Chemical Agents. Also, Provide input relative to COMPANY safety goals (KPI’s) and establishment of a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and coordinate COMPANY Regional, global, and other EHS audits and visits.
  • Support in the implementation of the Living Safety culture at the site.
  • Act as Occupational Hygiene Lead for the site and support site on OH-related matters and implement OH as per EHS Standard 3.12 Chemical Agents.
  • Helping risk assessors by training them in Chemical risk assessment. Conduct OH sampling on-site and make an action plan accordingly.
  • Support site on implementation of hearing conservation program, conducting noise mapping, and looking after the hierarchy of controls for reducing noise.
  • Actively involved to implement the Ergonomics program on-site.
  • Support site on Physical Agents program as per EHS Standard 3.14 Physical Agents.
  • Conduct L1 & L2 Audits on-site and actively participate in audit-related preparations.
  • Support site on implementation of EHAC program and support on Water stewardship and other water-related matters.
  • Be actively part of process safety and machine safety team and support site where ever needed.
  • Support site on Core Health offerings, food safety management, and health-related issues.
  • Involvement in warehouse improvement plan, and in construction activities at the site.
  • Actively take part in What if, HAZOP, ALARP, and SIL assessments.
  • Be involved in engaging employees to inform them regarding EHS communications on site.
  • Conduct EHS training for new hiring, contractor, and visitors.
  • Prepare EHS training materials and review training material with the manager for further improvements.
  • Planning of EHS visibility at the site and designing of EHS posters with a strong message.
  • Coordination with external posters, sign printing vendors and collection of quotations, and coordination with procurement department.
  • Negotiated with external printing vendor and placement of EHS posters, and signs at different locations.
  • Actively guide and support to reduce and compliance with stringent environmental KPIs i.e., hazardous waste, carbon footprint, water footprint, wastewater, and others.
  • CAPAs collected from different sources i.e. ZAPs, incident accidents, audits, CEHS visits, etc.
  • Facilitate line supervisors and other staff with ZAP training
  • Encourage associates by counseling to report hazards through the ZAP system
  • Analyze and put further suitable CAPAs and coordinate with departments for timely completion of suggested CAPAs.
  • Collection and analyze the data and drafting of data to present at different forums.
  • Guide and support to comply with local labor laws and environmental standards i.e., NEQS
  • Prepare and provide the environment, energy, and waste-related data for EHS central reporting.
  • On-floor meetings and coaching with the production team to improve compliance with EHS SOPs.
  • Comply and ensure compliance to Environment, Health, and Safety policies, guidelines, and requirements as applicable by law and COMPANY Corporate Guidelines.
  • Comply and ensure compliance to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Quality, and other related policies, guidelines, and requirements as applicable by law and COMPANY Corporate Guidelines.
  • Any other responsibility assigned from time to time as per business requirements.
