Position: Legal Expert
Job Type: Contractual (15-September-2021 – 31-December-2021)
Working Days: 70 Days
Location: Islamabad
Salary: 250,000 – 300,000 per month
Task Description:
- To assist the Client to help fulfill its legal mandate.
- Examine policies, programs and other measures taken by the Federal Government for gender equality, women’s empowerment and assess implementation.
- Review all Federal laws, rules and regulations affecting the status and rights of women and suggest repeal, amendment or new legislation essential to eliminate discrimination.
- Provide recommendations to Client regarding the signing or ratifying of international instruments affecting rights of women and girls.
- Facilitate client on legal requirements for implementation of international instruments and obligations affecting women and girls.
- Provide legal advice to Client on information, data and documents received from any federal source or entity in the course of performance of its functions.
- Any other task as assigned by client management.
Requirements:
Junior Associate has the following educational background and professional experience:
- Minimum Master in Law, or equivalent,
- Minimum 5 years of documented experience in applying international human rights law in the Pakistan domestic context;
- Proven legal research and analysis skills;
- Proven report-writing skills;
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines
- Excellent personal communication, social and networking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
