H&S Logiq seeks a skilled Sourcing Engineer to join our team in a flexible, part-time remote role based in Pakistan. This position is designed for qualified engineers who want to leverage their technical expertise in supplier relationship management, cost analysis, and supply chain operations while working from home. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering and has at least two years of relevant experience in engineering, technical sales, procurement, or project coordination. In this role, you will collaborate closely with both technical and commercial teams to provide engineering support, oversee documentation, and assist in coordinating procurement efforts aligned with international standards.
The position offers the opportunity to work approximately 4 to 6 hours daily in a part-time capacity, providing significant flexibility and exposure to diverse international projects. Candidates must demonstrate strong technical comprehension of engineering drawings and detailed specifications, possess effective communication skills in English, and have the ability to manage tasks independently while maintaining efficiency. Access to a reliable laptop and internet connection is essential. This role enhances professional growth in a global business environment without team management responsibilities, emphasizing individual contribution toward sourcing materials and managing supplier interactions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation and detailed proposals to support sourcing and procurement activities.
- Assist in the creation and evaluation of Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and supplier quotations while providing procurement support in alignment with project needs.
- Coordinate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely communication and smooth execution of sourcing processes.
- Review engineering specifications, drawings, and technical requirements to validate material suitability and compliance for procurement.
- Support business development initiatives by providing technical input and facilitating collaboration between commercial and engineering departments.
- Conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to budget optimization efforts.
- Manage supplier relationships by monitoring performance, negotiating terms, and resolving any issues that arise during procurement.
- Utilize ERP software such as SAP or Oracle and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to track inventory levels and order status.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in supply chain and inventory management strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective material sourcing.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier communications adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.
