Accrescent Engineers (Pvt.) Ltd. is seeking a dedicated HSE Officer on a contract basis for an upcoming project located in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience and possess a DAE, B.E., B.Sc. in Engineering, or an equivalent qualification in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). This role requires hands-on involvement at the project site to ensure strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance throughout the project duration.

Key Responsibilities
The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices on-site. Daily tasks include conducting site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to promote a culture of safety. The officer will ensure compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, work permits, electrical safety protocols, work-at-height regulations, lifting operations, and housekeeping standards. Identifying hazards, performing risk assessments, and recommending corrective or preventive measures are essential functions of this role. The officer will also monitor contractors and site personnel to ensure adherence to safety standards, investigate incidents and near misses, and maintain comprehensive HSE records. Preparing daily and weekly HSE reports and coordinating safety matters with the Project Manager and client HSE teams are key duties. Additionally, the officer will ensure emergency procedures, fire safety arrangements, and first-aid facilities are properly established and maintained. The authority to stop unsafe work and immediately report critical safety violations is a critical aspect of this position.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a solid understanding of HSE practices, particularly related to construction and project-site safety. Familiarity with Permit to Work (PTW) systems, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) or Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), risk assessments, toolbox talks, and incident reporting is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively on-site are essential. The role demands the capability to work independently within a dynamic project environment. Willingness to be based in Lahore for the duration of the project is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Possession of certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA will be considered an advantage and enhance the candidate’s suitability for the role.
