Driver

Human Development Foundation is seeking a responsible and experienced Driver to ensure the safe and timely transportation of staff and vehicles for official duties including meetings and field visits. The ideal candidate holds a valid driving license with a clean driving record and has at least five years of relevant driving experience. The role demands thorough knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations, strong punctuality, responsibility, courtesy, and trustworthiness. The Driver plays a crucial role in maintaining vehicle cleanliness and basic condition, following all safety procedures and organizational policies, while being attentive to vehicle maintenance needs by keeping accurate logbooks and reporting issues promptly. This position does not involve managing a team but requires excellent self-management and adherence to high standards of safety and professionalism. The Driver must act responsibly at all times to protect the wellbeing of passengers and ensure the reliability of the organization's transportation services.
Responsibilities

Drive Human Development Foundation staff and vehicles safely and responsibly for all official assignments.
Ensure timely transportation for meetings, field visits, and other official commitments.
Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of vehicles to ensure a presentable and safe travel environment.
Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety regulations, and organizational policies during all driving activities.
Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks detailing mileage, trips, and any incidents or maintenance needs.
Report any vehicle malfunctions or maintenance issues promptly to ensure continuous availability and safety of transportation.
Plan routes efficiently, using knowledge of local roads and traffic conditions to avoid delays.
Demonstrate punctuality, courteous behavior, and reliability at all times while representing the organization.
Assist with minor vehicle maintenance and checks as required to uphold vehicle conditions.
Handle any unforeseen situations calmly and responsibly while on duty.
