Located in Lahore, Pakistan, this on-site role requires a skilled mobile developer with 3-4 years of experience to join immediately. The position involves working from 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM Pakistan Time, focusing on designing and delivering high-quality cross-platform applications for both Android and iOS using Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in native Android development, as well as the ability to integrate with iOS platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences across devices.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and deploy cross-platform applications targeting Android and iOS using Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform frameworks. Develop native Android features leveraging Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, while integrating iOS components through Swift/SwiftUI interoperability and native SDKs when shared code is insufficient. Maximize the use of shared code for domain logic, data handling, networking, and persistence, maintaining a native look and feel on each platform. Architect offline-first solutions with reliable synchronization, conflict resolution, and retry mechanisms, especially for payment-critical workflows. Implement secure networking and data storage practices suitable for financial applications. Create responsive and adaptive user interfaces optimized for various devices including phones, tablets, and foldables with different screen densities. Build scalable, maintainable, and testable codebases following clean architecture and modular design principles. Profile and optimize application startup time, rendering performance, memory usage, and battery consumption on both platforms. Collaborate closely with backend engineers, QA, product managers, and designers to ensure timely releases on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Required Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Kotlin programming, including advanced features such as coroutines, Flow, and sealed classes. Extensive experience with Jetpack Compose, including state hoisting, recomposition optimization, side effects management, and navigation components. Proven track record of delivering production applications using Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform targeting both Android and iOS platforms. Familiarity with the iOS development ecosystem, including Xcode, Swift basics, CocoaPods/SPM, provisioning profiles, and code signing. Solid understanding of architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVI, and unidirectional data flow. Experience with dependency injection frameworks like Dagger Hilt for Android and Koin or kotlin-inject for shared Kotlin Multiplatform modules. Demonstrated ability to develop hybrid or cross-platform apps, making informed decisions about what code should be shared versus platform-specific. Skilled in bridging native platform APIs such as camera, biometrics, NFC, push notifications, and deep linking. Expertise in networking libraries including Ktor Client for Kotlin Multiplatform and Retrofit/OkHttp for Android, with knowledge of interceptors, authentication token refresh, and error handling. Proficient in serialization using kotlinx.serialization and offline data storage solutions like SQLDelight, Room, or DataStore. Experience managing lifecycle-aware state and process death handling on Android, as well as state restoration on iOS. Ability to create responsive UIs using window size classes and adaptive layouts. Strong security knowledge relevant to payment applications, including secure storage with Android Keystore and iOS Keychain, SSL/certificate pinning, encrypted local data, secure token/session handling, biometric authentication (BiometricPrompt, Face ID, Touch ID), and awareness of obfuscation techniques, root/jailbreak detection, and PCI-DSS compliance. Adherence to clean code principles, SOLID design, and modular Gradle project structures. Familiarity with Git workflows involving branching, pull request reviews, and conventional commit messages. Experience writing unit tests with JUnit, kotlin.test, MockK, and Turbine for Flow, as well as UI tests using Compose UI Test framework and XCTest. Skilled in debugging and profiling using Android Studio Profiler, Xcode Instruments, and LeakCanary.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Bitrise, Fastlane automation, and managing Play Store/TestFlight releases. Exposure to Flutter or React Native frameworks. Native iOS development experience with SwiftUI. Knowledge of Material Design 3 and Apple Human Interface Guidelines. Familiarity with crash reporting and analytics tools such as Firebase Crashlytics or Sentry. Experience integrating payment SDKs, QR payment systems, or digital wallets. Having published apps on Google Play Store and Apple App Store is highly desirable.
This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge mobile technologies within a collaborative environment focused on delivering secure, high-performance financial applications. Immediate availability is required to join the team and contribute to ongoing projects.
