ICT Teacher

The Orchid School, located at Royal Campus on Al Razi Road, PECHS Block 06, Karachi, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Years ICT Teacher to join its academic team. This role involves delivering ICT education within the Cambridge Education System, focusing on developing young learners’ digital literacy and computer skills. The ideal candidate will have strong computer proficiency and the ability to create engaging, interactive lessons that make technology accessible and enjoyable for primary-level students.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons tailored to primary-level students.
- Teach fundamental computer operations, including hardware, software, and digital literacy concepts.
- Introduce students to essential skills such as word processing, presentations, internet safety, and age-appropriate educational applications.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and practical activities to support learning objectives.
- Conduct hands-on computer lab sessions, guiding students in the effective and safe use of technology.
- Foster the development of problem-solving abilities, digital skills, and basic computational thinking among students.
- Assess students’ academic progress through classwork, practical tasks, and formal tests.
- Provide additional support and guidance to students who require extra help with ICT concepts.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure the safe handling and use of computer equipment.
- Keep accurate records of students’ performance and progress for ongoing evaluation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology effectively across the curriculum and enhance overall teaching and learning experiences.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
- Previous teaching experience at the primary school level is preferred.
- Strong computer skills with a solid understanding of basic ICT concepts.
- Good communication skills, effective lesson planning, and classroom management capabilities.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and engagingly to young learners.
- A genuine passion for teaching and supporting the educational development of children.
