Import Manager

Tabish Corporation/Eminent Holdings is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Import Manager to oversee the entire import process. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing international procurement, import documentation, customs clearance, banking procedures, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations in Pakistan. This role requires strong coordination with suppliers, logistics partners, banks, and internal departments to ensure smooth and timely import operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full import cycle from purchase order placement through shipment, customs clearance, and final delivery.
- Coordinate with international suppliers on orders, production schedules, shipment planning, and documentation.
- Handle and review essential import documents including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading/Airway Bills, Certificates of Origin, Form-E, and other related paperwork.
- Oversee import payment processes such as Letters of Credit (LC), Telegraphic Transfers (TT), and other payment methods.
- Liaise with banks for import-related documentation and payment processing.
- Work closely with freight forwarders, shipping lines, clearing agents, customs authorities, and other logistics partners.
- Monitor shipment schedules, estimated times of arrival (ETAs), container movements, clearance status, and manage demurrage, detention, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure full compliance with Pakistan Customs, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), State Bank of Pakistan, Pakistan Single Window (PSW), WeBOC, and other regulatory bodies.
- Review HS Codes, customs duties, taxes, valuation, and other import-related costs to ensure accuracy.
- Resolve any shipment or documentation issues promptly to avoid delays.
- Negotiate freight, clearance, and logistics charges with service providers to optimize costs.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, import costs, documentation, and clearance activities.
- Prepare import-related reports and provide regular updates to management.
- Coordinate with internal departments including Accounts, Procurement, Warehouse, and Sales to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor supplier and service provider performance and maintain effective business relationships.
- Identify opportunities to improve import processes, reduce costs, and minimize operational delays.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in import operations, preferably within trading, distribution, manufacturing, or similar industries.
- Strong practical knowledge of Pakistan import procedures and customs regulations.
- Hands-on experience with WeBOC, PSW, FBR, customs clearance, and import documentation.
- Good understanding of Letters of Credit (LC), Telegraphic Transfers (TT), banking procedures, freight forwarding, and international shipping.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines efficiently.
