Indirect Operations, Sourcing

Carrier Global Corporation, a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, is seeking an Indirect Operations Lead to join their team in Hyderabad or Gurgaon. This full-time role involves partnering with the supply chain category management team and internal Centers of Excellence (CoE) to ensure timely and accurate execution of business-as-usual (BAU) activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing current processes, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation plans to minimize operational disruptions. This position requires building a strong governance framework, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs), and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The role also includes attracting, hiring, engaging, developing, and retaining diverse talent while collaborating with global supply chain teams across multiple sites and regions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of indirect sourcing and operations, including cost reduction, demand control, policy adherence, and best practices to guide the team toward optimal outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while managing operational risks effectively.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as marketing, finance, accounting, and human resources to ensure seamless operations.
- Lead day-to-day procurement and sourcing operations, driving performance and accountability.
- Develop and execute team strategies by independently defining priorities, facilitating training programs, and engaging stakeholders to align and adapt strategies based on evolving business needs.
- Exhibit excellent people management skills with an empathetic leadership style, fostering a results-driven and accountable team environment.
- Manage programs including change management, demonstrating strong influencing and negotiation skills across multiple organizational levels.
- Apply strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities while working collaboratively with various Carrier entities and stakeholders to complete projects.
- Maintain a self-directed, motivated approach with a strong sense of urgency and focus on people development.

Required Qualifications:
- 10-12 years of experience in supply chain management, with essential exposure to a CoE environment.
- Bachelor’s degree from a premier institute; MBA preferred.
- Proven expertise in sourcing and procurement operations.
- Experience managing teams of 4-10 direct reports.
- Ability to operate effectively in a global environment, engaging with stakeholders across multiple countries.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to independently define and prioritize team objectives.
