S. A. HAMID & Co. is seeking a motivated Industrial Automation Engineer with a passion for PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, and solving complex automation challenges. The ideal candidate will be involved in designing, testing, and troubleshooting automation systems while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and system integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, test, and troubleshoot PLC programs to meet project requirements.
- Design and configure HMI/SCADA applications for effective monitoring and control.
- Integrate PLCs with variable frequency drives (VFDs), sensors, instruments, and other automation devices.
- Work extensively with industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP.
- Debug automation systems and optimize control logic to improve performance and reliability.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and on-site commissioning activities as needed.
- Prepare and maintain software backups, I/O documentation, and detailed project records.
- Coordinate efforts with electrical, instrumentation, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in industrial automation.
- Hands-on experience with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Delta, or similar.
- Solid understanding of HMI/SCADA systems and industrial control architectures.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to industrial sites for commissioning and support activities.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
