Industrial Engineer-Textile Industry

We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented Industrial Engineer with strong expertise in the Knitwear and Textile industry. The ideal candidate will focus on analyzing production processes, conducting time and motion studies, optimizing manpower and workflow, balancing production lines, and driving improvements in productivity and operational efficiency. A solid understanding of SMV/SAM, efficiency measurement, production bottlenecks, and process optimization is essential, along with the ability to translate data and analysis into practical improvements on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct time and motion studies to establish accurate SMV/SAM for production operations.
- Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and productivity gaps.
- Perform line balancing to optimize manpower, machine utilization, workflow, and production capacity.
- Monitor and analyze line efficiency, labor productivity, and overall production performance.
- Develop and implement productivity improvement initiatives to meet production targets.
- Review existing production methods and recommend improvements to reduce idle time, bottlenecks, and operational losses.
- Optimize manpower allocation based on production requirements and process capacity.
- Establish and maintain accurate standard times, efficiency targets, and performance measurements.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Quality, and Operations teams to enhance manufacturing performance.
- Analyze production data and prepare reports on efficiency, capacity, productivity, and performance trends.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, waste elimination, and process optimization.
- Ensure consistent application of Industrial Engineering standards and methodologies across production lines.
- Conduct regular follow-ups to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the Knitwear and Textile industry, preferably within a manufacturing or garment production environment.
- Strong hands-on experience in Industrial Engineering, Time & Motion Studies, Line Balancing, SMV/SAM Calculation, Efficiency Measurement, Productivity Improvement, Capacity Analysis, and Process Optimization.
- Deep understanding of garment and knitwear production processes and manufacturing operations.
- Proven ability to identify production bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Proficiency in MS Excel and production/Industrial Engineering reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of KPI monitoring and production performance analysis.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to manage large sets of production data and convert findings into actionable recommendations.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and decision-making abilities.

The successful candidate will be evaluated based on key performance indicators including production line efficiency, labor productivity, SMV/SAM accuracy, line balancing effectiveness, manpower utilization, bottleneck reduction, capacity utilization, productivity improvement, reduction in idle or production loss time, and achievement of production targets.
