We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Infection Control Nurse to lead and support our infection prevention and control program. This role is vital in developing and maintaining policies that ensure patient safety and reduce healthcare-associated infections within our facility. The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare teams to monitor infection risks, implement best practices, and promote a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate infection prevention and control policies and procedures to maintain high standards of patient care. Conduct routine infection control audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement. Monitor and report healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) promptly to facilitate timely interventions. Provide education and training to healthcare staff on infection control practices and protocols to ensure compliance. Ensure all activities align with local and international infection control standards. Investigate infection outbreaks thoroughly and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient safety and improve overall quality of care.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN or equivalent) is essential. Candidates must hold a valid nursing license or registration. A minimum of 1 to 2 years of clinical experience is required, preferably with exposure to infection control. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or an equivalent credential is mandatory. Strong knowledge of infection prevention guidelines and standards is necessary. Excellent communication, organizational, and training skills are important for success in this role. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment is expected.

Experience
Candidates should have 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in infection control nursing to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
