As an Information Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization’s digital assets by implementing and managing advanced endpoint security solutions. Your focus will include overseeing Mobile Device Management (MDM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) technologies, ensuring these tools are effectively deployed and maintained. Collaborating closely with IT teams, you will work to enforce compliance, reduce security risks, and enhance the overall security posture against an ever-evolving threat landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and optimize Mobile Device Management solutions, with a preference for Microsoft Intune, to secure and manage mobile and endpoint devices across the enterprise.
- Implement and maintain Data Loss Prevention technologies, preferably Forcepoint, to monitor sensitive data flows, prevent unauthorized transfers, and enforce data protection policies across endpoints, email systems, and cloud applications.
- Manage and monitor Extended Detection and Response platforms, ideally Microsoft Defender XDR, to deliver advanced threat detection and response capabilities. This includes correlating security alerts, investigating complex attack chains, and orchestrating automated responses to contain threats.
- Continuously monitor and analyze endpoint security alerts, investigate incidents thoroughly, and coordinate remediation efforts to minimize organizational risk exposure.
- Develop, update, and enforce security policies related to endpoint devices, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analyses on endpoint devices, recommending and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate endpoint security controls into the broader security infrastructure, promoting a unified defense strategy.
- Automate and streamline security processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce the need for manual intervention.
- Stay informed on emerging cybersecurity threats and new technologies to proactively enhance endpoint protection capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in endpoint security or a similar cybersecurity operations role.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven hands-on experience with endpoint security tools and platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Forcepoint DLP, Microsoft Defender XDR, or equivalent technologies.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex security concepts clearly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of endpoint security, applying your expertise to protect critical assets and contribute to the organization’s resilience against cyber threats. You will be part of a dynamic team committed to continuous improvement and innovation in security operations.
