We are looking for a highly motivated and disciplined IT Officer (Networks) to join our IT Department based in Islamabad. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive technical support across our restaurant network and Head Office. This role is critical in maintaining smooth IT operations, supporting Point of Sales (POS) business processes, and driving technological improvements within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues across multiple restaurant locations and the Head Office.
- Ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of the network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Manage and maintain the Point of Sales (POS) systems to support uninterrupted business operations.
- Monitor network performance and implement necessary upgrades or changes to optimize functionality.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical problems and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware and software relevant to network operations.
- Document network configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain clear records for future reference.
- Support the IT team in implementing new technologies and system enhancements aligned with business needs.
- Respond promptly to IT incidents and service requests, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
- Maintain compliance with organizational IT policies and security protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in network administration and support, preferably within a multi-site environment.
- Strong knowledge of network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Experience with Point of Sales (POS) systems and their network integration.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues and performing preventive maintenance.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and security best practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent will be considered an advantage.
