Inkscape Specialist

This hourly, remote contractor position seeks an experienced Inkscape Specialist (Subject Matter Expert) to develop realistic and challenging computer-based tasks using Inkscape and related vector design workflows. You will be responsible for designing practical Inkscape tasks, documenting them clearly within SuperAnnotate, ensuring your technical setup supports the tasks, and recording yourself performing these tasks on your computer. Your contributions will support the training of advanced AI models by demonstrating how real users complete vector graphics and design workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- Create realistic Inkscape tasks that reflect practical design scenarios. Develop challenging workflows that can be executed using Inkscape and document these tasks clearly in SuperAnnotate.
- Prepare your work environment by ensuring Inkscape is installed, necessary files and assets are available, fonts and images are ready, and any required references are on hand before recording.
- Record yourself performing the Inkscape tasks, following project instructions closely to ensure workflows are clear, complete, and realistic.
- Provide detailed task context, including steps, goals, files, assets, and notes, so reviewers fully understand the task and its completion process.
- Demonstrate practical use of Inkscape features such as vector paths, node editing, shapes, text, layers, alignment, gradients, clipping, masking, tracing, SVG cleanup, and exporting files for web, print, or presentations.
- Maintain high submission quality by reviewing recordings and documentation before submission to ensure tasks are complete, understandable, realistic, and aligned with project guidelines.

Required Qualifications

- Proven hands-on experience using Inkscape for vector graphics creation, SVG editing, illustration, diagrams, icons, logos, layouts, and export workflows.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher to comprehend project instructions, document tasks clearly, and communicate effectively with the project team.
- Comfortable working with computers, managing design files, navigating design software interfaces, and recording workflows.
- Ability to conceive realistic and challenging Inkscape tasks that mirror actual use cases in design, illustration, diagramming, marketing, education, administration, or content creation.
- Strong understanding of Inkscape fundamentals including paths, nodes, shapes, layers, alignment, text, gradients, fills and strokes, clipping, masking, tracing, and export formats.
- Capability to ensure your technical setup supports task requirements, including software installation and asset preparation.
- High attention to detail in task preparation, workflow execution, and quality checking of recordings and documentation.
- Reliable and self-directed with the ability to consistently deliver quality work in a remote, hourly contractor role across different time zones.
