Innovative Tech Engineering is seeking a proficient and detail-oriented AutoCAD Expert to join their Engineering and Design department. This full-time position requires creating precise 2D and 3D technical drawings that support various engineering and manufacturing projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the design and production teams to deliver drawings that meet project requirements, fabrication standards, and production needs. With at least three years of experience in AutoCAD and a strong background in mechanical engineering or a related field, the candidate should demonstrate high accuracy, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments. The role does not include managing a team but involves collaborating effectively with engineers, production staff, and other stakeholders to ensure drawings are accurate, compliant, and delivered within designated timelines. Responsibilities encompass preparing detailed engineering and manufacturing drawings, revising existing documentation to reflect design changes, and supporting CNC machining and fabrication efforts. Candidates will use their expertise to translate concepts and sketches into comprehensive CAD drawings while maintaining organized documentation and adherence to industry drafting standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD software to assist in engineering and production processes.
- Prepare accurate engineering, fabrication, and manufacturing drawings that include dimensions, tolerances, materials, and specifications.
- Create plans, elevations, sections, layouts, and detailed construction drawings suited to project requirements.
- Update and modify existing drawings promptly in response to design revisions or project needs.
- Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to ensure drawings meet technical and manufacturing standards.
- Review drawings thoroughly for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable drafting standards.
- Generate drawings for CNC machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes ensuring clarity and usability.
- Maintain proper documentation, control revisions, and archive drawings systematically to support project traceability.
- Convert sketches, concepts, and technical instructions into precise CAD drawings that facilitate design and production workflows.
- Deliver all drawings within project deadlines while maintaining excellence in quality and correctness.
- Apply knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes in drawing development.
- Utilize AutoCAD proficiency to optimize design workflows and support continuous improvement initiatives in design accuracy.
