We are ooking for individuals skilled in typing in Urdu to help transcribe interviews and field data collected as part of a qualitative study. The Urdu Typist will be required to type out the recorded interviews onto a word document, in a specified format using Urdu typing software. This process is called transcription, where the individuals hears the recording and types out the conversation word by word, indicating different speakers. Templates will be provided for the specified format. Interview transcriptions will need to be completed within a specified period of time (these deadlines will be agreed with the project management team).
The typists will also be required to make any edits and changes that are identified in the quality review process, which will be conducted by the research team.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Skilled in Urdu typing
- Willingness to learn on the job
- Experience in transcription (listening to recordings and typing accurately at high speed) is not necessary, but will be valued.
Compensation:
The gross salary is PKR 35,000 per month for this position.
