Overview of the Position
The position of Financial Accountant, which reports directly to the CEO, will be to manage the accounting function to facilitate the owners in financial reporting, optimizing efficiency / profitability and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities
Financial/Management Reporting
- Complete bookkeeping
- Completion of monthly financial reporting and performance analysis
- Responsible for Year-end reporting and analysis
- In charge of record keeping
- Close liaison with Owners
Accounting processes
- Responsible for bookkeeping, payroll, financial reporting
- Maintain control accounts for bank account, supplier, sales, salaries etc
- Management of Banks Accounts
- Management of creditors, debtors, timesheet recording, WIP, write-offs
- Ensure effective management of cash flow of the business.
- Responsible for the timely processing of Purchase Invoices and recording of accruals
- Completion of statutory returns
Other
- Management of internal IT systems
- General administration and management of records including archiving
The Person
- Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant
- Minimum 2 years' accounting experience, ideally within a Professional Services firm (e.g. legal, accounting, engineering, architecture)
- Excellent systems and people skills
- Good attention to detail
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Good communication and relationship building abilities
