You will be responsible for:
- Conducting feasibility studies and designing underground mines
- Selecting and supervising mining equipment and machinery and ensuring timely maintenance
- Developing and implementing mining plans and schedules
- Monitoring and controlling the quality and quantity of coal production
- Evaluating and managing risks and impacts of mining activities on workers, communities and the environment and ensure foolproof security for all
- Communicating and collaborating with available resources, land & forest authorities and other team members.
To be successful in this role, you will need and ensure:
- A bachelor's degree in mining engineering, geology or a related field
- A license or certification from a professional organization or a government agency
- At least two years of experience in coal mining or related industries
- Proficiency in computer-aided software and tools for mine design and analysis
- Knowledge of coal mining methods, techniques and regulations
- Skills in problem-solving, decision-making, project management and teamwork
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing conditions
