Interior Designer

Robust Group is seeking a creative, proactive, and result-oriented Interior Designer with 3 to 5 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, a collaborative mindset, and the confidence to take full ownership of design projects. This role requires someone who can perform well under pressure, lead by example, motivate team members, take initiative, and independently drive projects from concept through to successful completion while meeting challenging deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Interior Design & Concept Development
- Develop innovative, functional, and visually appealing interior design concepts for both residential and commercial projects.
- Prepare space plans, layouts, mood boards, material selections, and detailed design presentations.
- Produce and review 2D drawings, 3D visualizations, working drawings, and execution details.
- Ensure all designs comply with project requirements, budgets, and quality standards.

Project Leadership & Execution
- Take full ownership of assigned projects from initial concept to final execution.
- Lead design activities and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and meeting deadlines.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and site teams.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve design-related issues, and ensure adherence to approved plans.

Team Management & Collaboration
- Lead, supervise, and manage the interior design team, ensuring effective task allocation.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven work environment.
- Mentor junior designers to encourage creativity, professional growth, and accountability.
- Promote open communication, teamwork, and knowledge sharing across departments.
- Conduct regular team meetings, monitor individual performance, and ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Lead by example to inspire the team to achieve project goals collectively.

Coordination & Management
- Collaborate closely with management and clients to understand requirements and translate them into practical design solutions.
- Prepare material specifications, bills of quantities (BOQs), and cost estimates in coordination with procurement and execution teams.
- Oversee material selection, vendor evaluations, and execution requirements.
- Provide regular progress updates to management and proactively address potential delays.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within real estate development, construction, or architectural firms.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a design team effectively.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion, or similar design and visualization software.
- Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and interior construction techniques.
- Practical understanding of site execution, project coordination, and budgeting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and perform well under pressure.
