Asst. Manager – Sales & Operations

Momentum Logistics is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Manager for Sales & Operations to lead and manage a team of professionals. Bachelor’s degree required along with 3–5 years of experience in Logistics, Transportation, Freight, and Supply Chain. This role demands a strategic mindset combined with strong operational expertise to drive sales growth in the corporate, industrial, importer/exporter, and logistics sectors. The candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding the customer base, generating leads, managing freight quotations, and negotiating commercial terms, while ensuring smooth coordination of operations and maintaining profitable business margins. The role requires balancing multiple customer demands, resolving operational challenges, and fostering long-term relationships to meet and exceed monthly revenue targets. The Assistant Manager will oversee vehicle availability, resolve service exceptions, and liaise closely with billing and finance teams to ensure timely invoicing and payment recovery. With a keen focus on commercial and operational efficiency, this role demands strong analytical skills for trip profitability monitoring, detailed reporting, and identifying key business trends. Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customers in diverse segments including corporate, industrial, import/export, and logistics.
• Generate qualified leads, organize meetings, and convert prospects into recurring business relationships.
• Prepare competitive and accurate freight quotations tailored to customer requirements.
• Negotiate freight rates and commercial terms within established limits to achieve favorable contracts.
• Maintain and manage a healthy sales pipeline to consistently meet or exceed monthly revenue and business targets.
• Develop enduring relationships with customers to identify and capitalize on additional sales opportunities.
• Ensure the availability of suitable vehicles by coordinating with open market vendors and internal resources.
• Address operational challenges promptly by resolving delays, breakdowns, and other service-related exceptions.
• Collaborate effectively with billing and finance departments for timely invoicing, documentation, and payment follow-ups.
• Monitor and support recovery of outstanding payments to meet financial targets and maintain cash flow.
• Evaluate trip profitability rigorously and identify negative-margin or exceptional cases to protect business interests.
• Prepare comprehensive management reports highlighting sales performance, operational trends, and exceptions for strategic decision-making.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of 10 members to achieve operational excellence and sales targets.
• Coordinate multiple customer accounts and operational requirements concurrently, ensuring flawless execution.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools to analyze data, generate insights, and support sales and operational functions.
• Exhibit strong ownership and problem-solving skills to swiftly handle urgent operational issues under pressure.
• Uphold a target-driven and commercially focused approach to contribute to the overall growth and profitability of Momentum logistics.
