Internal Auditor – FMCG / Retail

We are seeking a skilled Internal Auditor with extensive experience in the FMCG and retail sectors to perform comprehensive financial, inventory, operational, and departmental audits. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance across various business functions, identifying risks, and recommending improvements to strengthen internal controls.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough audits of cash handling, POS transactions, sales, refunds, discounts, voids, and daily closings.
- Perform physical stock audits, including system reconciliation and checks for shrinkage, leakage, wastage, damage, and variances.
- Audit warehouse processes such as receiving, Goods Received Notes (GRN), stock transfers, FIFO/FEFO methods, Best Before Dates (BBD), expiry management, and stock movement.
- Review purchase activities including supplier invoices, purchase prices, returns, rebates, and commercial claims.
- Audit production areas including bakery, fresh produce, meat/butchery, food, and vegetable departments, focusing on consumption, yield, wastage, and finished goods.
- Verify adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), management controls, and the Four-Eye/Maker-Checker principles.
- Identify financial leakages, process weaknesses, irregularities, and control gaps.
- Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, supporting evidence, corrective actions, and follow-up measures.
- Conduct surprise audits and escalate significant discrepancies directly to management.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Audit, or a related field.
- 4 to 7 years of internal audit experience within FMCG, supermarket, cash & carry, or retail environments.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, stock audits, cash audits, and internal control frameworks.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and strong analytical and reporting skills.
- High level of integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent investigative abilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience working with well-known retail chains such as Metro, Al-Fatah, Imtiaz, Carrefour, Chase Up, or similar organizations is highly desirable.
- Candidates with comprehensive supermarket or cash & carry audit experience will be given preference.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs15,213.00 to Rs150,592.11.
- This is an in-person role requiring presence at the designated work location.
