The Truck Dispatcher is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of freight by coordinating the activities of drivers, shippers, and receivers. The Truck Dispatcher will use a variety of software and communication tools to track shipments, communicate with drivers, and ensure that all shipments are delivered on time and in good condition.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the movement of freight by communicating with drivers, shippers, and receivers
- Track shipments and ensure that they are delivered on time and in good condition
- Resolve any issues that may arise during the shipping process
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments
- Use a variety of software and communication tools to track shipments and communicate with drivers
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business, engineering or related fields
- 1-2 years of experience in truck dispatching or a related field
- Strong understanding of the transportation industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong English communication and writing skills
