Main Responsibilities

The tasks listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic, operational, crisis and project specific communication plans. Propose innovative methods to improve communication processes. 

  • Manage, plan and develop internal and external communications strategies for the successful implementation of the project.

  • Write content for both print and Web including the company website, blog, brochures, and newsletter.

  • Maintain digital media archives including photos, videos, and success stories; Coordinate with IMC relevant departments on producing success stories and quality photos and videos of implementation for dissemination.

  • Ensure that all communications and programs materials are aligned with donor branding and marking guidelines; Answer branding and marking questions from employees, managers, partner organizations, and media outlets.

  • Liaise with appropriate stakeholders to ensure project activities are going smoothly and all indicators are achieved timely. 

  • Work with staff to support the communications needs and interests of project. 

  • Ensure compliance with project permissions/ authorizations for implementation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • University Degree in Mass Communication, Media Sciences or related disciple. 

  • At least 03 years of experience with international organization in same capacity.  

  • Will have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Demonstrated creativity, ability to apply innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Must be aware of Cultural sensitivities. 

  • Computer proficiency is a Must.

Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Excellent self-motivation skills

  • Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations

  • Creativity and the ability to work with limited resources

  • Strong writing and presentation skills

  • Proven capabilities in leadership required

  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal and organization skills

  • Fluency in spoken Regional Languages. Communication in National & International language will be an edge.
