Background

Main Responsibilities  

Responsibilities:

  • The hired consultant will develop/adapt the training materials and conduct the capacity
  • training for the community women and girls including Afghan refugees and the host community Naguman of Peshawar district. 
  • Almost every household is utilizing small home appliances like iron, fan, energy saver bulbs, etc.
  • People spend money, time, and effort to get basic, everyday appliances fixed.
  • These two days of training will equip the participants with the knowledge, practical skills & understanding required to repair minor faults in small home appliances. 
  • The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
  • Develop/adapt the training material.
  • Deliver the orientation session in local language (Pashto)
  • Submit a brief 1 pager final report

  • Actively promote PSEA (prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and among beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

Qualifications

  • Technical Diploma in Electrician.
  • Good facilitation skills.

Experience

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in conducting the same level/ nature of training. 
  • Familiarity with conducting repair of small home appliances trainings for community women and girls;

Competencies  

·         Good Interpersonal/Communication Skills;

·         Fluent in spoken local languages Pashto is mandatory. 

·         Fluent in written Urdu and English and good in training report writing;

·         Familiar with local culture and customs.
