IRC has been working in Pakistan for approximately 45 years, leading and delivering large, sophisticated programs to meet the needs in health, education, safeguarding, environmental health and livelihoods for displaced, poor and disaster affected communities. IRC works in partnership with local government and non-governmental organizations and is currently working across the country.
Job Overview/Summary:
The Environmental Health & Climate Resilience Coordinator will play a key role in shaping and implementing IRC Pakistan’s response to the climate crisis by addressing its impact on environmental health and vulnerable communities. This includes promoting climate-resilient WASH infrastructure, disaster risk reduction, carbon footprint reduction, and nature-based adaptation solutions in humanitarian and early recovery settings. The coordinator will engage closely with donors, government bodies, and partners, while also supporting country-level business development, capacity building, and strategic planning.

Key Working Relationships:
Position Reports to: Deputy Director Program (DDP)
Other Internal and/or external contacts: Technical Coordinators (education, protection, health), AMU, Team Leads, Heads of Offices, donors and partners. Position coordinates with: Environmental Health and Climate change coordinator will maintain close coordination with the team of Technical Advisors at the regional level.
External: Interaction with implementing partners of technical aspects, donors, government officials and other relevant stakeholders.
Education:
Master’s degree in environmental health, Environmental Sciences, Climate Change, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related field. Relevant international certifications in climate adaptation, DRR, or sustainable WASH are a plus.
