IRC has been working in Pakistan for over 40 years, and leads and delivers large, complex programs to meet the needs in health, education, protection, environmental health and livelihoods for displaced, poor and disaster affected communities. IRC works in partnership with local government and non-governmental organizations and currently works in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa , Punjab , Baluchistan and Sindh provinces.

Job Overview/Summary:  

She should have technical skills of attending patients/ clients coming to the facility for SRH services including FP/ Obstetric Care/Prevention and treatment of STI /GBV. She should be able to provide quality services through her technical and good communication skills to achieve objectives of the project

Major Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a medical team in one of the district health facility to provide reproductive health services according to national and IRC Reproductive Health policy.
• Conduct antenatal and post-natal consultations with pregnant women record height, weight pulse and blood pressure of all women coming for Post Natal Care/Anti Natal Care visits.
• Have good knowledge and practices in long term and permanent FP methods and PAC services.
• Keep antenatal, natal and postnatal records.
• Make referral for hospital care as appropriate.
• Assist lady doctor/QA Manager in Implant insertion /removal procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining day-to-day infection prevention procedures including universal precaution measures and sterilization.
• Provide family planning counseling and information on SRH services to women attending the health facility. 
• Family planning counseling to women after delivery, especially for those who need these services.
• Prevention and treatment of STIs
• Prepare timely demand for supplies and collect the supplies form store.
• Maintain accurate day to day record, prepare monthly report & maintain facilities registers up to date.
• Attend workshop /seminars and program meetings arranged by IRC.
• Willing to work in evening and night shifts.
• Entry of online data with coordination of MIS team
• Record keeping/stock maintenance record.
• Any other relevant duty needed or requested

Key Working Relationships:

• Sharing of monthly & weekly reports of all the technical services in IRC supporting facilities.

Position Reports to:  QA Manager

Indirect Reporting: RH officer/s

Other Internal and/or external contacts:

Describe the nature of departments or groups the position influences or requires support from to accomplish objectives.

Internal: Health Services Section.

External:  Government Service providers

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Matriculation Certificate
• Diploma LHV/FMT/Nurse recognized by the Nursing Council of Pakistan/Medical Faculty.

Work Experience:

Experience: A least 3 years’ experience of SRH/MNCH

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

• Work experience in maternity hospital or MCH preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Reproductive Health

Language Skills:  Must be fluent in both Urdu, Pashtu languages and Urdu written as well.
