Job Overview/Summary:

The Sr. Reproductive Health Officer is responsible for the implementation of SRH activities with standard protocols to be followed at all the IRC supported Health facilities. This position will assist Quality Assurance Manager in report writing, technical feedback & in implementation of services in project districts.

Following is summary of the activities need to be performed by the Reproductive Health Officer.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Improving the counseling & quality RH services of IRC health Program.
  • Devise, plan and implement staff /service providers capacity building trainings
  • Conduct field visits to ensure implementation of Q of Care interventions and conduct on the job coaching
  • Monitor technical trainings of IRC, being implement by IPs
  • Establishment of a referral system to provide access to SRH services at Health Facility level and develop a linkage with other NGOs are working on SRH & GBV
  • Programmatic interventions to increase the number of clients for provision of quality SRH services through trained staff in best equipped health facilities in the districts.
  • Programmatic interventions to address the demeanour of Health care providers in provision of SRH/GBV services.
  • Provide technical input and ensure quality of the activities being implemented. Support monthly meetings of field staff at all the project districts
  • Work together with outreach team through integrated approach.
  • Maintain all technical training data base/Service Provider data with coordination of MIS team /section.
  • Entry of all Health Service delivery data in MIS on regular basis.
  • Ensure provision of medicines and equipment to IRC supported Health facilities in time.
  • To ensure proper record keeping of supplies/commodities/medicines at health facility level through LHVs.
  • Ensure to maintain the consumption record of consumable and non-consumable items at health facility and warehouse with coordination of warehouse officer and proper record keeping in hard and soft.
  • Represent IRC's RH programs in liaison with partners, governments, NGOs, etc
  • Assist the Manager Coordination meetings with all partners of IRC Health program.
  • Strong mutual coordination and integration with staff of with IP team, LHVs and field teams for achievement of the project objectives
  • Prepare/Review activity reports of the section.
  • Sharing quarterly & biannual reports with supervisor
  • Review visits reports of joint supervision visit & take action on recommendations
  • Analyzing and sharing of monthly & weekly reports of all technical services in IRC supported health facilities.
  • To perform any assign task by supervisor.

Key Working Relationships:

Position Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager

Position Coordinates With: Project Staff, IPs and operations as needed

Job Requirements:

a) Education:

MBBS/Diploma of the LHV/FMT/Nurse from Pakistan Nursing Council/Medical Faculty

b) Work Experience:

At least 3 years’ experience in SRH programs and trainings,

The position will be based at Peshawar , DI Khan & Swat with extensive travel to Health Facilities

c) Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Capacity to develop, implement and analyze quality assurance components, plan and execute staff trainings, develop and implement work plans, duty roasters,
  • Skills in conducting training, monitor IP training activity, and ability to implement coaching interventions
  • Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage information (report writing and presentations).

Language Skills:

  • Must be fluent in Urdu & local languages

Computer skills:

  • Must be fluent in computer skill (MS Office)
