IRC works in partnership with local government and nongovernmental organizations and is currently working across the country.

Job Overview/Summary:

The Sr. Program Manager will mainly be responsible for technical and management backstopping of ongoing projects and will support the Team Lead position.

The position is to further ensure a close coordination with other humanitarian actors and government agencies at field levels so that programme is integrated across humanitarian responses, clusters and respective implementing partners and all partners (various consortia and local implementing partners) are provided with timely and effective technical support.

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Provide mentoring support in day-to-day implementation of projects across Pakistan 
  • Develop and monitor quality parameters in coordination with MEAL for the ongoing projects 
  • Provide technical guidance, oversight and support to project teams and partners in implementation of program interventions 
  • Effectively involve in situation monitoring and update the senior management on changing scenarios for immediate response and changes in program approach/design. 
  • Coordinate and collaborate closely with relevant government authorities, other NGOs and UN agencies for the implementation of emergency response 
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders, including community leaders, NGOs, UN agencies, community-based organizations and other IRC sectors to enhance multi-agency and multi-sectoral cooperation and coordination 
  • Prepare high quality internal and external reports within agreed deadlines. 
  • Extend leadership support to the field managers of IRC and the partner organizations in implementation of the response projects ensuring alignment with IRC programming approaches and principles 
  • Coordinate closely with the Supervisor and Grants department to ensure effective project management, grant utilization and compliance with donor requirements. 
  • Produce and utilize regularly updated project management tools, including work plans, implementation plans, procurement plans, and accurate financial forecasts. 
  • Oversee timely, relevant, and responsible use of project funds. 
  • Coordinate closely with the MEAL department to develop monitoring tools and collect high-quality data.
