Senior Project Manager

Background/IRC Summary:

Job Overview/Summary:

The Senior Project Manager – PATRIP Health will lead the overall management, coordination, and implementation of the ongoing PATRIP-funded Health Project in Chaman and Chaghi districts. The position is responsible for strategic and operational oversight, ensuring timely completion of construction, renovation, and solarization of health facilities, as well as the successful execution of community engagement and health awareness activities.

The incumbent will serve as the focal point for coordination with provincial and district health departments and other relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with government priorities and donor compliance.

The position is based at Quetta.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Implementation

• Implement a comprehensive Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP), Procurement Plan, and Budget Spending Plan in alignment with donor and organizational guidelines.

• Lead the strategic and operational management of project activities, ensuring effective execution and adherence to timelines and budgets.

• Provide technical backstopping and guidance to district-level teams for smooth project implementation.

2. Infrastructure Development Oversight

• Oversee construction, rehabilitation, and repair of targeted health facilities, ensuring quality control as per approved scope of work and engineering standards.

• Supervise the renovation and furnishing of health facilities, rehabilitation/construction of staff residential quarters, patient waiting areas/shades, and solarization of selected facilities.

• Review Bills of Quantities (BoQs), drawings, and construction progress reports to ensure compliance with specifications.

Community Engagement and Health Promotion

Job Description

• Facilitate formation/reactivation of Health Committees (HCs) to strengthen local health governance and community participation.

• Lead initiatives to promote health awareness and positive behaviors through structured awareness sessions at targeted health facilities.

• Maintain strong coordination with Provincial and District Health Departments, line agencies, and relevant authorities for project implementation, and reporting.

Reporting, and Compliance

• Ensure timely collection and analysis of progress data for effective monitoring of project indicators.

• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and interim donor reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, identify challenges, and recommend corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, and environmental and safety standards.

Financial and Administrative Management

• Oversee project budgets, ensuring effective utilization of resources and adherence to spending plans.

• Review procurement documents and payment requests in line with approved guidelines.

• Support internal and external audits, providing documentation and justifications as required.

Language Skills: Fluent in English and Urdu speaking and writing; preferably fluent in local languages Balochi,Brahvi and Pashto
