Junior Interior Designer / Architectural Designer

Remote | Immediate Start | Project-Based, Part-Time or Full-Time

We are looking for a proactive and creative Junior Interior Designer or Architectural Designer to support residential interior design projects.

Immediate Project - Phase 1

The initial assignment involves developing the interior design of a residential flat.

Responsibilities will include:

• Developing furniture layouts and space-planning options
• Proposing lighting ideas
• Selecting materials, finishes and colour schemes
• Designing joinery units and other custom elements
• Recommending furniture, furnishings, accessories and planters
• Researching suitable products and design options online
• Preparing clear and attractive client presentations
• Producing accurate AutoCAD drawings and SketchUp models
• Alternatively, using Revit for drawings and modelling, although Revit is not a requirement

The selected candidate will be expected to take initiative and propose design ideas. Guidance and support will be provided where required.

Potential Ongoing Role - Phase 2

Following the initial project, the position may expand to include:

• Supporting residential projects from concept development through final handover
• Conducting design and product research
• Developing space plans and furniture layouts
• Selecting materials, finishes, furniture and accessories
• Preparing AutoCAD drawings and SketchUp models
• Coordinating remotely with subcontractors and suppliers
• Assisting with social-media content
• Editing posts and videos using CapCut or similar software
• Organising and managing project photo libraries
• Liaising with web developers, clients and other project partners to support project delivery
• Assisting with branding concepts and visual ideas

Phase 2 responsibilities will be introduced according to the candidate’s strengths, performance and business requirements. Guidance will be provided for unfamiliar or more complex tasks.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• A qualification or relevant experience in interior design, architecture or a related field
• Good residential space-planning and design skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience with SketchUp or Revit
• The ability to prepare clear and attractive client presentations
• Good online research and visual-selection skills
• A good eye for furniture, lighting, materials, colour and styling
• Good communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• A proactive, flexible and solution-focused approach
• Basic CapCut, social-media or content-editing skills would be an advantage

Fresh graduates and candidates with relevant junior-level experience are encouraged to apply.

Employment and Salary

The position may be arranged on a:

• Project-contract basis
• Part-time salary basis
• Full-time salary basis

Full-time salary: PKR 55,000 - 85,000 per month, depending on experience, portfolio, technical ability and capacity to work independently.

Part-time compensation will be agreed according to the selected working hours and days. Project-based fees will be agreed according to the scope and required deliverables.

The full-time position will initially be temporary during Phase 1. It may become permanent based on the candidate’s performance, potential and ability to assist with the broader Phase 2 responsibilities. Compensation will be reviewed if the position progresses into a permanent role.

Working Arrangement

• The role is remote.
• The candidate must be available during mutually agreed working hours.
• Working days may be weekdays, weekends, or a combination of both, depending on the candidate’s availability and project requirements.
• The selected candidate will be employed or contracted directly by the company, depending on the agreed working arrangement.

• Develop furniture layouts and optimize space planning solutions for residential interiors.
• Propose innovative lighting ideas that enhance the ambiance and functionality of living spaces.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, and color schemes that align with design concepts and client preferences.
• Design custom joinery units and other bespoke interior elements to meet project requirements.
• Recommend suitable furniture, furnishings, accessories, and decorative planters to complement design schemes.
• Conduct thorough online research to identify suitable products and explore diverse design options.
• Prepare clear, visually compelling client presentations that effectively communicate design concepts and proposals.
• Produce accurate and detailed drawings using AutoCAD; create 3D models with SketchUp, and optionally use Revit for design documentation and modeling.
• Take initiative to propose creative design ideas and improvements, working independently while seeking guidance as needed.
• Support ongoing residential projects from initial concept development to final handover by assisting with design and product research.
• Coordinate remotely with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project partners to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Assist with social-media content creation and editing, including managing project photo libraries and preparing videos using editing software such as CapCut.
• Organize and manage digital asset libraries to maintain up-to-date and accessible project documentation.
• Liaise effectively with web developers, clients, and internal teams to support branding concepts and project visual ideas.
• Adapt to new responsibilities based on individual strengths, performance, and company needs with a flexible and solution-focused approach.
• Adhere to deadlines and deliverables, maintaining high-quality standards throughout all project phases.
