Our client is seeking an Investment Analyst based in Lahore to support critical investment decisions through detailed financial modelling, valuation, feasibility studies, and market research. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Investment Analyst on live transactions, project economics, and preparation of materials for senior leadership and the Board. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-impact deals and gain exposure to various facets of investment analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated three-statement financial models (profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow) with clearly documented assumptions to support investment decisions.
- Conduct returns analysis, including unlevered and levered IRR, MOIC, and payback periods, benchmarking against hurdle rates.
- Perform business and project valuations using discounted cash flow (DCF), trading comparables, and precedent transactions.
- Assist in deal structuring by modelling different equity and debt mixes, earn-outs, deferred consideration, and determining optimal capital structures for projects.
- Prepare comprehensive feasibility studies and business cases covering market sizing, demand forecasts, revenue build-up, capital and operational expenditures, staffing, and overall project economics.
- Build detailed project cash flow models to assess viability, breakeven points, and identify key risks.
- Update and format financial models according to templates provided by the Senior Investment Analyst.
- Collect, clean, and verify data from both internal and external sources, ensuring accuracy through rigorous checks and reconciliations.
- Maintain deal trackers, research logs, document repositories, and data room files to support smooth transaction execution.
- Assist in drafting investment and project briefs along with supporting financial and market analysis.
- Support the preparation of presentation materials for the Group CEO, Board of Directors, and shareholders.
- Translate industry reports, news, databases, and regulatory publications into clear, actionable insights.
- Conduct sector deep-dives and market sizing exercises (including TAM/SAM and CAGR analysis), map value chains, identify key players, competitors, and potential targets, and monitor sector trends.
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, corporate development, or project/infrastructure finance.
- Proven hands-on experience in financial modelling and feasibility analysis, including involvement in live M&A, private equity, joint ventures, or project finance transactions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline from a reputable university.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, with strong skills in financial modelling and valuation techniques such as three-statement models, IRR/MOIC calculations, DCF, comparables, precedents, and feasibility models.
- Strong PowerPoint skills and excellent written communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Professional certifications such as CA/ACCA, CFA Level 1 or higher, MBA, or a Master’s degree in Finance are highly desirable.
