The Investment Manager position is a part-time, hybrid role based in Karachi, offering flexibility for remote work. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing market trends, economic data, and financial instruments to develop and implement Shariah-compliant investment strategies across multiple asset classes. This role requires close monitoring of portfolio performance, rebalancing asset allocations, and preparing regular reports and insights for both internal stakeholders and clients. Additionally, the Investment Manager will conduct due diligence on potential investments, assess associated risks, and ensure all activities align with the group’s ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze market trends, economic indicators, and financial instruments to formulate Shariah-compliant investment strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, making necessary adjustments to optimize returns and manage risk.
- Prepare detailed reports and investment insights for internal teams and clients to support informed decision-making.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective investments, assessing risks and compliance with Islamic finance principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the Pak-Qatar Group to support product development and enhance fund performance.
- Contribute to client advisory initiatives by providing expert investment recommendations aligned with ethical and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Proven expertise in investment management with experience handling diversified portfolios.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of applying both quantitative and qualitative methods to investment decision-making.
- Solid understanding of finance, particularly Islamic finance principles and Shariah-compliant investment products.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or IFQ (Islamic Finance Qualification) are advantageous.
- Ability to interpret financial statements, market data, and regulatory guidelines effectively, with clear communication of insights.
- Experience working with mutual funds, Takaful, or asset management firms is preferred.
