iOS Intern

Join our Mobile Core Engineering team to develop mission-critical diagnostic applications and low-level iOS SDKs that are deployed across millions of devices worldwide. You will work on implementing automated device test suites that interact directly with native hardware frameworks such as Battery, Ambient Light Sensors, Camera, Biometrics, LCD, and CoreNFC. This role involves translating complex functional requirements, flowcharts, and pseudo-logic into highly optimized, modular Swift and Objective-C code. Additionally, you will update internal frameworks to ensure strict type safety, maintain backward compatibility, and support robust serialization and deserialization. Building and maintaining real-time socket communication (TCP/WebSockets) between iOS devices and desktop diagnostic software will also be a key part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain diagnostic applications and iOS SDKs used globally.
- Implement automated test suites that interface with native hardware components.
- Translate detailed functional tickets and flowcharts into clean, efficient Swift and Objective-C code.
- Update and enhance internal frameworks focusing on type safety, backward compatibility, and serialization.
- Build and support real-time socket communication between iOS devices and desktop software using TCP/WebSockets.

Required Qualifications
- No prior professional experience is required; however, a strong conceptual understanding of Computer Science and iOS fundamentals is essential.
- Currently a final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Advanced knowledge of iOS fundamentals including Memory Management (ARC, retain cycles), Concurrency (GCD, async/await), and UIKit/SwiftUI view lifecycles.
- Proficiency in Swift programming, including protocols, closures, generics, and strong algorithmic thinking. Familiarity with architectural design patterns such as MVC and MVVM is expected.
- Experience with structured JSON parsing using Codable and solid understanding of Git workflows.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Familiarity with iOS hardware and sensor frameworks such as CoreNFC, CoreMotion, and AVFoundation is advantageous.
- Understanding of raw socket communication, client-server handshakes, and modular architecture tools like Swift Package Manager (SPM) and CocoaPods is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with profiling applications and debugging memory leaks using Xcode Instruments will be beneficial.
- The position offers a starting pay of Rs 25,000 per month.
- This is an in-person role, providing an opportunity to collaborate closely with the engineering team.
