IoT Engineer (with DevOps)

We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our team, responsible for connecting devices and sensors to our software platform and ensuring smooth operation in production. In this role, you will take full ownership of the data flow from devices to the cloud, including deployment and monitoring. We value your problem-solving approach and understanding of system scalability over familiarity with specific tools. If you grasp why systems fail and how to build them to scale effectively, you will quickly adapt to the rest of the technical environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Connect devices and sensors to our systems, ensuring reliable data transmission.
- Design scalable setups that maintain performance as the number of connected devices increases.
- Develop and maintain automation and pipelines for deployment and operation.
- Diagnose root causes of issues in production and implement design improvements rather than temporary fixes.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience building and operating real-world systems.
- Hands-on experience with IoT or device integration across any technology stack.
- Practical knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and containerization.
- Strong fundamentals in networking and data flow management.
- A preference for simple, scalable solutions over complex or heavy implementations.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Familiarity with MQTT or similar communication protocols is advantageous.
- Experience working with industrial or SCADA systems is a plus.

This is a senior-level position offering genuine ownership within a small, agile team that moves quickly. Compensation, work location, and arrangements will be finalized by HR. The role requires in-person attendance. Monthly pay ranges from Rs33,000 to Rs170,000, depending on experience and fit.
