- Plan, design, implement and manage an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and Minimize inventory loss by incorporating best supply chain practices
- Keep track of inventory flow in order to identify dead or slow moving stock.
- Monitor consumption levels and set procedure to minimize consumption levels.
- Management and overseeing of distribution, transportation & movement of goods/supplies to other branches network.
- Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments and consolidating warehousing and distribution.
- Design strategies to minimize the cost or time required to move goods.
- Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus.
- Ensure to adopt and implement best practices of warehouse/store racking systems
- Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory
- Audit on inventory by coordinating with external and internal teams.
- Manages stores, and/or returns overstock/expired/defective and disposal.
- Define inventory KPI’s and track them regularly for performance measurement.
- Supervise, monitor of staff, hiring, training and provide development opportunities for staff.
- Ensures that stockroom is well organized and that all stored items are accounted for.
- Build relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers or distributors.
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
- Stay up to date with the latest technology and best practices
- Proffer recommendations to management on operational policies and objectives required for improved performance.
